Go-To Foundations for Oily Skin

Foundation for oily skin- Drug Store and High End

Foundation for oily skin

Hello loves. Today, we’re talking about oily skin and the best foundations to help control that shine we all hate. There’s a difference in looking “dewy” and like the grease on a pizza. I have hella oily skin and I have been on the search for a few foundations that work for me. Now, remember, we all have different skin, find something that caters to YOUR skin type. These foundations might not work the best for those on the drier side.

I work in an office all day, so my foundation is sitting for 10+ hours on my face. I’ve found THREE foundations that have worked the best for me. Two are drug store and one is a higher end but still pretty affordable.

Foundation for oily skin- Revlon Drugstore Foundation

Revlon Colorstay

Now I’m sure you have seen this one EVERYWHERE, the Revlon Colorstay Foundation. I’ve been using this foundation for at least 5 years and it has stayed true to me. This one also has a HUGE selection of color tones and I usually end up getting a few bottles of varied shades to mix for my perfect shade throughout the year. You can find this at pretty much any local drugstore for around $10. I’m not going to preach and say that my skin doesn’t get a little oily but it’s not NEARLY as bad as it usually is. It also has great coverage if you do have acne.

Foundation for oily skin- L'Oreal True Match Drugstore Foundation

L’Oreal True Match

The second foundation is another popular one, L’Oreal True Match. This one is great for oily skin too with great coverage. You don’t need alot of this because a little goes a long way. You can get a wide selection of shades too so if you’re looking to check this one out, you can get it at any Target or drug store for around $9.

Foundation for oily skin- Estee Lauder Doublewear

Estee Lauder Doublewear

Estee Lauder Double Wear is my holy grail of foundations. I actually saw a review on Youtube with someone who has a similar skin type and I wanted to give it a try. This is definitely my favorite foundation. I actually went to a Dillards to have them match my skin tone to my true shade. It’s higher in price than the Revlon, around $40, but if you can afford to splurge a little, I recommend giving this one a shot.

Remember, everyone’s skin is different so try and stick to what works for you! I have definitely tried most recommended foundations for oily skin and these two are what work best for me right now. If you’ve tried other products and really liked the results, comment down below! I love to try new things and different brands.

I loved this post. I’m someone who is quite clueless when it comes to the right products to us on my skin, but this post helps a lot. I have oily skin and I’ll definitely test these out on myself 💙
